Commercial Corporate Lawyer – Fintech & Payments

About the role

Spayce Technologies is seeking a Barbados‑qualified or LEC‑qualified Attorney‑at‑Law to join its fintech and corporate commercial practice. The role is open to junior lawyers with a foundation in corporate law or experienced attorneys with three or more years in corporate or commercial practice, focusing on payments, banking and digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate trust, payment services, banking agreements, business trust deeds and technical services agreements.
• Structure and advise on cross‑border corporate structures and fintech/banking agreements.
• Support formation and management of digital assets, payment services terms and conditions, and licensing arrangements.
• Provide legal support on commercial contracts linked to fintech ventures and assist in corporate structuring for fintechs, banks and payment service providers.
• Conduct due diligence for business trusts and cross‑border payment services transactions.

Required profile

• Qualified Attorney‑at‑Law in Barbados or an OECS jurisdiction (LEC).
• For junior candidates: 1‑3 years of exposure to corporate law and a strong interest in fintech, banking and digital assets.
• For experienced candidates: minimum 3 years post‑qualification experience in corporate, contract or commercial law with banking exposure.
• Demonstrated ability to draft and negotiate commercial agreements and strong commercial awareness.
