Temporary Human Resources Officer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Human Resources Officer on a 3‑6 month fixed‑term contract to support a well‑established financial services organisation. The role will provide end‑to‑end HR services across recruitment, employee relations, payroll, benefits and performance management.

Key responsibilities

• Administer compensation, benefits, leave, disciplinary actions and employee investigations.
• Coordinate recruitment activities: job ads, interview scheduling, candidate assessment and selection.
• Calculate payroll, allowances and incentive payments; prepare payroll data within set timelines.
• Review and recommend improvements to pension, life, medical and other benefit programmes.
• Produce HR reports on absence, staff lists, payroll costs and other metrics.
• Lead employee recognition initiatives and support employee engagement surveys.
• Facilitate onboarding, probation monitoring and new‑hire orientation.
• Conduct training needs assessments and deliver HR training sessions.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of HR policies, employment legislation and best practices.
• Excellent organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide timely HR advice.
