Junior Aviation Technical Manager

About the role

Sol Aviation Service Limited is seeking a Junior Aviation Technical Manager to oversee aviation operations across selected Caribbean and South American locations. Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will provide functional guidance to affiliates, supervise airport superintendents and supervisors, and ensure compliance with Sol Aviation, Shell, and JIG operating procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Stewardship of affiliate aviation operations, ensuring product quality and adherence to HSE and industry best practices.
• Develop and manage airport and marine terminal visit plans, coaching airport supervisors and related personnel.
• Monitor control programs for assets, cash handling, oil loss, and payment processes.
• Assist in evaluating and implementing capital investment projects and new technologies.
• Review, negotiate, and manage contracts, supply agreements, and operator agreements with airports and government authorities.
• Prepare and execute regional budgets focusing on OPEX, CAPEX, other income, and training.
• Represent Sol Aviation in Joint Operations Committees, industry forums (IATA, ALTA, JIG), and financial result presentations.
• Support marine terminal product clearance, tank releases, and ensure compliance with quality specifications.

Required profile

• Junior‑level professional with a background in aviation or airport operations.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen to manage budgets and monitor performance.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration with operations, engineering, procurement, finance, and sales teams.
• Ability to work onsite in Caribbean or South American markets and travel as required.
