IT Support Technician (Level 1 On-Site)

About the role

AZKAIT is seeking a Level 1 IT Support Technician to work on‑site in Barbados. The role focuses on providing first‑line technical assistance to end‑users, handling hardware installations, moves, additions and changes, and ensuring smooth operation of desktop environments.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site end‑user support for hardware, software and networking issues.
• Perform IMAC tasks (install, move, add, change) for desktops, laptops and peripherals.
• Log, track and resolve incidents using a ticketing/incident‑management platform.
• Apply ITSM best practices to maintain service quality and documentation.
• Support Windows desktop operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Provide basic network troubleshooting and internet connectivity assistance.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year of experience in help‑desk or on‑site end‑user support.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication skills for documentation and user interaction.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with IMAC processes.
• Familiarity with ticketing systems and incident management.
• Knowledge of ITSM frameworks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Email).
• Solid understanding of Windows desktop operating systems.
• Basic networking concepts and troubleshooting.
