Financial Accountant

About the role

Our client, Capita Financial Services Inc., is looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to ensure accurate financial reporting, robust controls, and regulatory compliance. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will lead the preparation of statements, support budgeting, and drive continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements, management reports and regulatory returns.
• Maintain the integrity of accounting records and financial information.
• Support budgeting, financial analysis and internal controls.
• Supervise and develop members of the accounting team.
• Liaise with auditors, regulators and other key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a recognised professional accounting designation (ACCA, CPA or equivalent).
• Minimum five years of accounting experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in financial services or another regulated environment; knowledge of IFRS and reporting requirements is an asset.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills with high attention to detail.
