Business Manager – Operations & Finance

About the role

WICSCBS Inc. is seeking a visionary Business Manager to lead financial, legal, and operational functions while supporting strategic growth. Reporting directly to the Research Director, you will act as the primary liaison to the Board and ensure seamless execution of daily operations and long‑term initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the operational liaison to the Board of Directors, preparing board materials, forecasts, and AGM deliverables.
• Maintain full fiscal accountability, including budget development, monitoring, payroll oversight, and quarterly financial reporting.
• Drive HR strategy encompassing talent acquisition, performance management, compensation design, and compliance with Barbadian employment law.
• Lead contract negotiation, drafting, and lifecycle management for corporate members, partners, and service providers; oversee membership policies and IP governance.
• Oversee procurement, corporate insurance, asset tracking, health & safety compliance, and risk mitigation.
• Develop business cases and feasibility analyses for new growth initiatives and regional partnerships.
• Manage relationships with external consultants (IT, HR, Legal) while retaining final decision authority.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Management or related field; MBA preferred.
• 10+ years of senior‑level experience in finance, HR, legal, and operations management.
• Proven ability to work with boards, drive governance frameworks, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Barbadian employment legislation and corporate governance standards.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
