Account Executive – Captive Insurance

About the role

Aon is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join its Barbados office as an Account Executive focused on captive insurance. You will be part of a dynamic team that services a diverse portfolio of captive insurers, providing essential financial and insurance support.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly management financial statements and reports for captive insurance clients.
• Record premiums, claims, and reserves, and coordinate financial statement audits.
• Present financial results and key information to Boards of Directors during board meetings.
• Develop financial forecasts, budgets, and analyse complex transactions.
• Review and authorize payments, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Maintain strong internal and external client relationships and communicate effectively with the Captive team.
• Utilise DocuSign and the payments dashboard to manage data flow.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA, ACA or ACCA) is essential.
• Previous experience in captive insurance, reinsurance, or international insurance audits is advantageous.
• Ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Team‑oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal abilities.
