Security Officer – Luxury Resort

About the role

The Security Officer will ensure that security procedures and protocols are followed throughout the resort, providing a safe environment for guests, staff and property.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance and support to security officers through coaching and counselling to maintain professional standards.
• Report and prevent criminal activity on hotel property while maintaining a visible security presence.
• Conduct regular security patrols and inspections throughout the hotel premises to identify potential vulnerabilities and security risks.
• Monitor and respond to CCTV systems and security equipment, ensuring all systems are functioning optimally.
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies, taking appropriate action to protect guests, staff, and property.
• Maintain detailed and accurate incident reports and documentation in accordance with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Liaise with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary, providing relevant information and cooperating fully with investigations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security regulations across all areas of the hotel.
• Train, mentor, and supervise junior security staff to develop their skills and maintain consistent service standards.
• Conduct access control procedures and manage visitor check‑in processes to maintain secure premises.

Required profile

• High School Education with at least three CXC certificates.
• Minimum three years of experience in security or a related field, preferably in hospitality.
• Valid Security Officer licence or equivalent professional security qualification.
• First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain within three months of employment.
• Demonstrated experience in security supervision or team leadership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform regular patrols and respond to emergencies.
