Security Officer – Hotel Safety & Guest Services

About the role

The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, associates, and hotel assets. This position acts as a visible security presence while delivering excellent customer service and supporting the hotel's overall mission.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, checking for unsecured doors, trespassers, and safety hazards.
• Respond promptly to guest and associate calls, prioritising emergencies.
• Draft incident reports and maintain daily logs, including key logs, lost‑and‑found, contractor passes, and emergency equipment records.
• Monitor CCTV systems and provide continuous surveillance of the property.
• Deliver associate safety training and address safety hazards on a daily basis.
• Communicate incident updates and follow‑up actions throughout each shift.
• Maintain awareness of property events and provide a professional security presence focused on customer service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 2–3 years of security experience, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification and valid Guard Card.
• Physical ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, stretch and lift up to 15 lb for up to 4 hours per shift.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid Guard Card.
