Seasonal Cook

About the role

We are looking for a Seasonal Cook to join the culinary team at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a 75‑room luxury resort on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. Reporting to the Executive Chef, you will prepare breakfast, lunch and dinner across the resort’s restaurants and beach club, delivering high‑quality dishes in a fast‑paced, seasonal environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items for breakfast, lunch and dinner according to established recipes and quality standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as industrial dishwashers, stoves, ovens and grills.
• Keep workstations, utensils and storage areas clean, organized and compliant with health‑safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory control, stock replenishment and proper food storage.
• Collaborate with fellow kitchen staff to ensure smooth service during peak periods.
• Adhere to all sanitation, safety and corporate social responsibility procedures.

Required profile

• Cooking certification from an accredited institution.
• Valid Food Handler’s certificate.
• Police character certificate.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and during peak seasons.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 30 lb and work with heat, water and cleaning chemicals.

Required skills

• Food preparation and recipe execution.
• Operation of industrial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
