Regional Underwriter

About the role

The Regional Underwriter will review insurance applications across multiple Caribbean territories, assess risk, and determine policy terms. This role supports the company’s growth plan while ensuring underwriting excellence and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse risk for commercial and personal lines and calculate premiums according to company guidelines.
• Develop and maintain relationships with brokers, agents, and internal teams, providing timely feedback and service.
• Prepare policy documentation, endorsements, quotations, and renewals, ensuring accurate entry into the system.
• Monitor portfolio performance, loss ratios, and market changes to recommend risk acceptance or denial.
• Produce monthly reports and support new business development in the assigned territories.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of insurance industry experience, including at least two years in commercial underwriting.
• Associate degree in Business, Management or Administration; insurance certifications are a plus.
• Strong customer‑service orientation and ability to build productive relationships.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
