Optician – Full-time Optical Specialist

About the role

Eye Focus Inc is seeking a full‑time Optician to work on‑site in Christ Church, Barbados. The successful candidate will guide clients through frame and lens selection, perform precise measurements and fittings, and ensure each pair of glasses meets prescription and comfort standards.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret prescriptions and advise clients on lens options, materials, and coatings.
• Adjust, repair, and customize frames to achieve optimal fit and comfort.
• Maintain accurate client records and support optometrists during eye examinations.
• Manage inventory, keep the showroom organized, and assist with sales and patient education on eyewear care.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of optics, lens types, materials, and designs.
• Experience supporting optometry services and interpreting prescriptions.
• Proven track record of delivering excellent customer service.
• Attention to detail in measurements, fittings, and adjustments.
• Relevant certification or training in optics or optical dispensing is an asset.
