IT Field Support Technician

About the role

As an IT Field Support Technician you will provide first‑level on‑site technical assistance, ensuring hardware and software operate smoothly and securely for both internal and external users.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver on‑site first‑level support to internal and external customers.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely and on‑site.
• Monitor system and network performance, ensuring security and reliability.
• Train end‑users on hardware and software usage.
• Manage IT asset inventory and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate with other IT teams for seamless integration of systems and networks.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements.
• Enforce IT policies and procedures for all users.
• Log activities and report incidents to senior IT staff and stakeholders.

Required profile

• 1‑3 years of experience in IT support.
• Basic understanding of hardware, software and networking concepts.
• Ability to communicate technical information clearly to non‑technical users.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.

Required skills

• Windows operating system.
• Virtual machine environments.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP networking fundamentals.
• Configuration of firewalls, switches, routers and access points.
• Remote support tools such as TeamViewer and Remote Desktop.
