In-House Customs Broker (Barbados)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced In‑House Customs Broker to manage export and import processes for our manufacturing operations in Barbados. The role ensures timely shipments, compliance with customs regulations, and smooth coordination with logistics partners.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate the timely export of finished products by sea, air, courier, LCL, and container.
• Obtain quotations, arrange bookings, and prepare documentation using BeSWIFT and ASYCUDA World.
• Track inbound manufacturing goods and help minimize delays.
• Coordinate with freight forwarders, truckers, port officials and customs officers.
• Prevent avoidable demurrage and storage charges.
• Maintain accurate records, timely invoicing, and compliance with national customs laws.

Required profile

• 3–5 years’ experience in customs brokerage, international trade or supply chain logistics.
• Manufacturing or large‑scale distribution experience preferred.
• Proficiency in automated customs filing systems.
• Clean Police Certificate of Character required.
