Finance Manager

About the role

Our client, a leading credit union in Barbados, is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to drive financial excellence and support strategic decision‑making. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead a high‑performing finance team and ensure robust financial governance across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), local taxation legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate year‑end closing, external audits, statutory reporting and regulatory returns.
• Strengthen financial systems, processes and internal controls.
• Develop, mentor and lead a high‑performing finance team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field and a recognised professional accounting qualification.
• Minimum five years post‑qualification experience, including at least three years in a finance leadership role within a regulated financial services environment.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain high attention to detail.
