Communications Associate

About the role

The Communications Associate will support UNDP programmatic activities by promoting project objectives and activities across mainstream media, multimedia and social media platforms. Working under the supervision of the MCO Communications Analyst, the role contributes to the design and delivery of communication strategies that raise visibility and impact of development initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and edit communication materials such as press releases, briefs, and campaign content.
• Develop and implement advocacy and campaign materials to support project goals.
• Organise and manage press launches and media events for project activities.
• Collaborate with UNDP communications teams, project teams in the field, government officials, international and local media, subject‑matter experts and civil‑society partners.
• Ensure the successful implementation of project communication strategies.

Required profile

• Ability to work under the guidance of the MCO Communications Analyst.
• Strong collaborative skills to engage with diverse stakeholders including UNDP staff, government officials and media representatives.
• Commitment to advancing UNDP’s development objectives through effective communication.
