Temporary Accounts Clerk – Reconciliations

About the role

We are looking for a Temporary Accounts Clerk to support our Finance Department with reconciliation tasks. This short‑term position will involve ensuring the accuracy of balance‑sheet, clearing and general‑ledger accounts while working closely with other business units.

Key responsibilities

• Reconcile assigned balance‑sheet and clearing accounts, investigating outstanding items.
• Identify and resolve differences between clearing accounts, subsidiary ledgers and the general ledger.
• Analyse variances between budgeted and actual expenditures as required.
• Prepare supporting schedules, documentation and reports for reconciliations.
• Assist with general‑ledger reconciliations, transaction validation and financial reporting.
• Support internal and external audit activities by providing required information.
• Liaise with Sales, Operations, Inventory and other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate records of reconciliation activities and communicate any issues that may affect financial accuracy.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or a related accounting role.
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail and high degree of accuracy.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with computerized accounting systems.
