Team Leader / Strategic Communication Expert

About the role

The EU Caribbean Strategic Communication Facility is seeking a senior professional to lead the design and execution of multi‑annual strategic communication campaigns across the Caribbean region. Based in Barbados, the Team Leader will travel to partner countries to ensure consistent, impactful messaging that supports EU international partnership objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the delivery of all services outlined in the terms of reference.
• Develop, implement and monitor regional communication strategies and campaigns.
• Ensure quality control and timely delivery of outputs.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team, overseeing day‑to‑day activities and mission trips.
• Maintain and expand networks of local expertise throughout the Caribbean.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in advertising, marketing, media communications, or a related field (or a Bachelor’s plus 4 years relevant experience).
• Minimum 12 years professional experience in advertising, marketing, content marketing or 360° campaigns.
• At least 2 years experience leading teams and managing campaigns.
• Experience working with the public sector or on publicly‑funded projects.
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple Caribbean countries.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
