Seasonal Kitchen Steward

About the role

As a Kitchen Steward at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, you will ensure the kitchen operates efficiently and maintains the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This seasonal position supports the resort’s two restaurants and Beach Club.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the industrial dishwasher – sort, load, unload and ensure items are clean and ready for service.
• Store cleaned dishes, glasses, cutlery and utensils in an organized, safe manner.
• Transport food and supplies from storeroom to designated kitchen areas.
• Report and remove broken or chipped items from circulation and keep inventory updated.
• Maintain dry, clean floors using correct equipment and chemicals.
• Assist with set‑up and breakdown of service areas for meals and functions.
• Clean stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators and other equipment using appropriate cleaning solutions.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and good communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Police certificate of character.
• Willingness to work on weekends and bank holidays.
