Seasonal Kitchen Steward

About the role

Join the team at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a luxury resort on Barbados’ Platinum Coast, as a Seasonal Kitchen Steward. You will play a vital part in keeping the kitchen running smoothly, ensuring all service items are clean, organized, and ready for use.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the industrial dishwasher – sorting, loading, unloading, and stacking dishes, glasses, cutlery, and utensils.
• Store cleaned items safely and in an organized manner.
• Transport food and supplies between the storeroom, kitchen, and service areas.
• Report and remove broken or chipped items from circulation and maintain inventory records.
• Keep kitchen floors dry and clean, using appropriate equipment and chemicals.
• Assist with set‑up and break‑down of service areas for meals and events.
• Clean stoves, ovens, grills, refrigerators, and other equipment using required cleaning solutions and tools.
• Maintain a healthy, clean, and safe work environment at all times.

Required profile

• Positive attitude and strong communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Police certificate of character.
• Willingness to work weekends and bank holidays.
