Seasonal Houseman

About the role

The Seasonal Houseman supports the housekeeping team at Fairmont Royal Pavilion, a luxury resort on Barbados’ Platinum Coast. This on‑site position assists with guest requests, room turnover and maintains the overall cleanliness of the property during peak seasons.

Key responsibilities

• Fulfill special guest requests for items such as cribs, cots, extra towels and other amenities.
• Collect dirty linen, garbage and recyclables from room attendant carts promptly.
• Report maintenance issues and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Restock and maintain inventory of housekeeping supplies, linens and equipment.
• Assist room attendants with room turnover during high‑occupancy periods.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping closets, storage areas and common spaces.
• Support deep‑cleaning projects and seasonal maintenance initiatives.
• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests while preserving privacy and confidentiality.
• Assist with special events, conventions or large‑group check‑ins as needed.

Required profile

• Previous housekeeping experience is an asset.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and problem‑solving skills.
• Highly responsible, reliable and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to remain calm, courteous and focused on guest needs.
