Network Technician (Part‑time, Hybrid)

About the role

The Network Technician is a part‑time, hybrid, on‑call role supporting Victory Solutions Global and its clients in Barbados and across the Caribbean and Latin America. The position involves hands‑on network installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and documentation across a variety of client environments.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose connectivity and performance issues and apply updates and patches.
• Assist with VLAN and network segmentation changes and support firewall and access‑control configurations.
• Maintain technical documentation, including network diagrams, port maps and configuration records.
• Support backup, recovery and security‑related infrastructure tasks.
• Participate in deployments, upgrades, incident‑response activities, infrastructure assessments and client site visits.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of network administration and infrastructure, including switches, routers and wireless networks.
• Hands‑on troubleshooting ability across connectivity, hardware, software and access‑related issues.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, subnetting, routing, switching and basic firewall rules.
• Understanding of network security principles, secure configuration, segmentation and basic incident response.
• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, CCNA or Fortinet certifications are an asset.
