Marketing Officer – General Insurance

About the role

The Marketing Officer – General Insurance supports the execution, coordination and performance monitoring of marketing initiatives for personal and commercial insurance portfolios across Barbados and selected Eastern Caribbean markets. Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the role drives client campaigns, content creation, distribution support and stakeholder approvals to generate leads, quotations, policy acquisitions and renewals while reinforcing brand engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute approved marketing campaigns, managing briefs, schedules, creative development, approvals, media and market deployment.
• Support product, distribution and client initiatives for motor, property, travel, liability and other insurance solutions, including launches, promotions and cross‑selling.
• Track campaign performance, leads, conversions and renewals; prepare regular reports and maintain budget trackers and purchase records.
• Manage stakeholder, supplier and governance processes, ensuring compliance with brand standards, regulatory requirements and approval protocols.
• Travel within Barbados and across assigned Eastern Caribbean markets as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related discipline.
• Minimum three years of relevant marketing experience, preferably in general insurance or financial services.
• Proven experience supporting integrated campaigns, managing suppliers, budgets and multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to use data and reporting to improve campaign effectiveness.
• Working knowledge of integrated marketing, campaign coordination and brand management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with marketing analytics tools.
• Familiarity with project‑management tools.
