Business Intelligence Developer

About the role

The Business Intelligence Developer will interpret business needs and create reporting analytics that meet those requirements. Working within Gildan’s IT department, the role covers design, development, maintenance, integration and data modelling across the full project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, transform and load data from multiple sources into Snowflake, supporting BI analysts and other departments.
• Translate technical specifications into data‑warehouse, database and BI solutions.
• Develop, test and review queries, scripts, stored procedures, database objects, indices and triggers.
• Perform SQL performance tuning, interpret execution plans and remediate bottlenecks.
• Create use cases and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new solutions.
• Identify, document, track and resolve issues throughout development and testing phases.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum five years of experience in data‑warehouse and ETL development, including work with Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, database query optimisation and data‑quality solutions.
